What’s Yet To Come For Gaming In 2014?

Whether you’re the type of gamer that spends small fortunes buying gaming gear and games or you just happen to have a gaming console lying around, 2014 is going to be a good year for you, because there are so many games scheduled to be released that it is simply impossible that you don’t get hooked on at least some of them. No matter if we’re talking about new titles, sequels and even movie-inspired video games – 2014 has got them all. Here are some of the most anticipated video game titles of 2014.

The Crew

Racing games are some of the most popular video games ever, both among hardcore gamers and amateur ones, so it’s a no-brainer that The Crew, a game developed by Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections, will be a big hit. What makes this game stand out is its enormous action place – the United States. No, we’re not talking about a specific town or region; we’re talking about the entire country. Simply driving from one side of the map to another will take approximately 90 minutes. Add the various races and mission types into the mix, along with the fact that you can recruit members to your crew, and the fact that you can fully customize a large variety of vehicles, and you have the perfect recipe for an awesome game. The Crew will be available on PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One.

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Tom Clancy’s The Division will most likely be the next success in the Tom Clancy series of games, and there are several reasons to support that. First of all, it’s a Tom Clancy! Name ONE Tom Clancy game that wasn’t a big hit; don’t bother, because there isn’t one. The second reason is that the game is based on highly-possible scenarios. In this first person shooter, you will play as a member of The Division, a group of Special Forces trained to step in in the event of a catastrophic event. The intrigue of the game is that a disease quickly spreads across the United Stated during Black Friday, quickly decimating everything in its way. Will you be the one to save the day?

Batman: Arkham Knight

If you’re a Batman fan, chances are you’ve already played the first three games in the series, and you were eagerly waiting to see what’s next. Even though Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth game in the series, the action takes place after the events in the second game, Batman: Arkham City. The main enemy you will face during the game is Scarecrow, who will try to gather as many allies as possible in an attempt to stop you. However, gadgets you will have at your disposal, along with one significant addition – the now-drivable Batmobile – will help you put an end to Scarecrow. The game is scheduled to be released in October 2014.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, the name “Mordor” should be a clear indicator of what this game is all about. This role-playing game will send you in the fascinating universe of The Lord of The Rings, and it is aimed to close some gaps between the events in The Hobbit and the ones in The Lord of The Rings. You will play as Talion, a ranger whose family got killed by Sauron’s armies, and your quest will be to seek revenge. The game is developed by Monolith Productions, and will hit the stores in October 2014, being available for a variety of platforms – Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and 4 and, last but not least, PC.
